Wedding Dress of Anna Boyle who was born at Wrexford, Ireland on November 21, 1839. She married Francis Bell Ferris born on January 25,1839 in Antrim, Shanthill Ireland. Married at St. Andrews Church, Bellview/Belluve in the country town of Southampton on August 28,1865.
During both WWI and WWII numerous brave men and women from McKellar enlisted. Come by the Heritage Room and read their stories. Take a second to remember both those who made it home and those who did not.
The McKellar Agricultural Fair is an important part of McKellar's History. It is an annual event that brings the Mckellar and surrounding communities together. Please come and join us on September 12th for our 140th Agricultural Fair. While you there you can come check out the Agricultural exhibit in the Heritage Room!
Worn by Frances Bell Farris while he served on the Ordnance Survey of the Royal Engineers. He took part in the Ordnance Survey of Great Britain, Ireland and the Survey of Jerusalem from 1856-1876.
